Buenos Aires Herald (10.08.2016) After a wave of public protests, Chile’s President Michelle Bachelet has announced a series of propsed reforms to the country’s private pension system. The alternatives, however, may face opposition as they would require heftier contributions from employers and independent workers, in order to boost payments for retirees, setting the scene for further battles.
